Job Description:

Voltage is currently seeking a detail-oriented SEM strategy nerd who can build, execute, and analyze SEM campaigns that support clients’ marketing and business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary owner of the digital marketing aspects in researching, planning, and implementing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborates with project managers and strategists to devise and implement effective marketing plans for clients.

    • Also includes SEM for one-off website design and development projects.

  • Supports identifying, reporting, and analyzing marketing metrics to measure company and client success.

  • Offers data-supported solutions and recommendations to optimize marketing campaigns.

  • Regularly iterates marketing strategy to maximize what is working and minimize what is not.

  • Creatively and effectively resolves complex SEM issues.

  • Supports in identifying and proposing incremental opportunities for further client engagement. 

Required Skills:

  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask effectively, ensuring accurate expectations for deliverables.

  • Defines, tracks, analyzes, and reports on metrics to understand the effectiveness of campaigns.

  • Ability to plan, prepare, and implement SEM campaigns.

  • Proficient in SEM tools and techniques.

    • Basic understanding of SEO tools and techniques.

  • Ability to update CMS websites (ideally, WordPress).

  • Analyze web traffic metrics, monitor SsEM key performance metrics, and forecast trends to suggest solutions for enhancing campaigns.

  • Proficient in Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides.

  • Proficient in various analytics tools (eg Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Tag Manager).

  • Proficient in various SEM tools (eg Google Ads).

  • Proficient in various reporting tools (eg Looker studio).

  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.

  • Supports in preparing materials for client meetings.

  • Present deliverables to clients (with the ability to explain strategic rationale).

Education and Experience:

  • 1-4 years of previous SEM experience.

  • Consistently shares frequent, clear, and truthful verbal and written communications.

  • Ability to translate technical ideas to non-technical professionals.

  • Works effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure client success.

  • Demonstrates a team-first attitude focused on the greater good of the agency and its clients.

  • Demonstrates strong critical and conceptual thinking abilities.

  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities, spanning from high-level SEM strategy down to technical details.

  • Possesses deep experience in SEM strategy and management, with a focus on designing, evaluating, and managing the SEM aspects of comprehensive digital marketing plans.

  • Possesses proficiency in various SEO/SEM tools. (eg Google Ads, Search Console, and other research and optimization industry tools). 

  • Proficient in project management software (ideally Teamwork).

  • Owns being an advocate for the agency as well as an SEM-level problem solver.
